More than 10 million people in the country have been entrusted with health accounts under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. On Monday, the Chief Executive of the National Health Authority, Dr RS Sharma, gave this information. Dr. Sharma said that under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), over 10 million health records have been digitally linked to the Ayushman Bharat Health Account.

So far, more than 30 million people have signed up for the Ayushman account
Through this, the entire medical data of the citizens reaches health professionals in different regions. So far, more than 30 million citizens have enrolled in the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Abha). Dr Sharma said health records of patients will be available digitally through Abha accounts. This will help provide a comprehensive medical history. The advantage of this will be that after knowing the health history, a correct decision can be made.

Through this, citizens can also digitally share health records with ABDM-registered healthcare professionals.

The scheme was launched in 2021
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the national-level rollout of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) two years ago in September 2021, which aims to support a unified digital health infrastructure in the country.
