The Meteorological Department has predicted a minimum temperature drop of around 2 degrees Celsius in several parts of northwest and central India by Tuesday and a gradual rise of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius between January 18 and 20 due to the western disturbance. of Cold to severe cold waves persisted over Punjab, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and parts of West Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. The season’s lowest temperature was recorded at minus 2.5 degrees Celsius at Churu near Rajasthan’s Thar desert, the IMD said on its website.
Fatehpur in Rajasthan’s Sikar district recorded the lowest temperature in the plains of northwest India at minus 4.7 degrees Celsius. Punjab’s Faridkot trembled at minus one degree Celsius. Severely cold day conditions were reported in parts of Himachal Pradesh and cold day conditions were observed in parts of Haryana and Rajasthan.
