1 crore 32 lakh 83 thousand 696 voters exercise their right to vote today: Election Commission NewsPipa

The spokesman for the Electoral Commission says that arrangements have been made for adequate security arrangements for the local elections.

In the statement, the spokesman said that the polling process for local body elections has started in 16 districts of Karachi and Hyderabad.

The Election Commission spokesperson says that 1 crore 32 lakh 83 thousand 696 people exercise their right to vote today, 8706 polling stations have been established in Sindh for the second phase of municipal elections.

He said that 1204 polling stations have been set up for men and 1170 polling stations for women, a total of 6332 and 389 improvised polling stations have been set up.

The Election Commission spokesperson further said that the Special Secretary and Secretary of the Election Commission are monitoring the elections from Sindh.

He also said that the central control room has been set up since yesterday and will be in operation day and night until the results are out.
