MCD was earlier divided into three parts, with 104 in North MCD and South MCD. There were 104 wards while East MCD had a total of 64 wards. These three companies thus had a total of 272 seats. Although now these three municipal companies have been merged into one and the total number of departments has been reduced to 250 after delimitation.

Votes were cast for the MCD elections in the national capital Delhi on Sunday, December 4, there. Voting percentage was recorded. Along with this, the fate of a total of 1349 candidates in 250 wards of MCD was captured in EVMs. Now at 8 am on Wednesday morning, these EVMs will be unlocked and voting will begin.
This time in MCD elections, while AAP and BJP have fielded their candidates in all 250 wards, Congress has fielded candidates in only 247 wards. Apart from this, BSP has fielded its candidates in 132, NCP in 26, JDU in 22 and AIMIM in 15 wards.
AAP profit prediction in exit measurements
Aam Aadmi Party may win in Delhi MCD elections. This claim is made by polling agencies. There are a total of 250 wards in Delhi and 126 seats are required for majority. According to the exit polls brought to MCD, Access My India has estimated the victory of BJP 69 to 91, Congress 3 to 7 and AAP 149 to 171 seats. According to whom BJP can win 70 to 92 seats, Congress 4 to 7 seats, Aam Aadmi Party 159 to 175 seats.
