On the occasion of World Cancer Awareness Day in Bhagalpur, a cancer awareness chariot was taken out from Sadar Hospital from 9 am on Monday. Civil Surgeon Dr. Umesh Sharma flagged off the chariot. On this occasion, CS said that 90% of cancer patients can be completely cured if cancer is detected at an early stage.
Let us tell you that 85% of total deaths due to cancer are due to late stage diagnosis of cancer disease. District non-communicable disease officer Dr. Pankaj Kumar Manasvi said that this chariot will go to the city’s chowk-bazar to make people aware about cancer.
