ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that China and Saudi Arabia have assured a package of $13 billion to Pakistan.
In an informal conversation with journalists, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that in the current fiscal year, China will provide 8.8 billion dollars in aid including debt rollover.
China will roll over $3.3 billion in Chinese commercial loans to Pakistan as well as $4 billion in deposits, with China financing an additional $1.45 billion.
Ishaq Dar added that Saudi Arabia would pay an additional $4.2 billion, including $3 billion in additional reserves and deferred payment oil facilities. Saudi Arabia to build a petrochemical complex in Gwadar.
Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the Chinese and Saudi leadership have assured Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif of cooperation, that both countries will take care of Pakistan’s financial needs till June 2023.
