RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that he values brotherly relations with other countries.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, discussed interests, regional security and cooperation in various fields.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan values brotherly relations with the Gulf countries and the relationship between Pakistan and the Sultanate of Oman is close, deep and warm. There is great potential for cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense and maritime security. He said, this partnership can become an integral part of our strategic partnership.
Pakistan Army Spokesperson said that the Omani ambassador expressed his grief over the flood disaster in Pakistan and sympathized with the affected families. The ambassador also appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional stability. They pledged to do their part to further enhance diplomatic cooperation at all levels.
