ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said that general elections will be held on time as per the constitution.

Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb while talking to the media said that if Imran Khan’s aim was to elect, he would have announced elections in March, but he wants emergency in the country and his aim is to create chaos and division in the country.

He said that Imran Khan is preparing for a bloody march, but this government knows how to protect the life and property of its citizens.

Maryam Aurangzeb said that Imran Khan does not want elections or development of the country, but his long march will end before reaching Islamabad.

The Information Minister also discussed the Prime Minister’s visit to China and said that CPEC has been delayed for the past 4 years.

He said, Prime Minister’s visit to China marks the beginning of a new era of important projects in CPEC.

He also said that in 2014, Imran Khan was stationed to sabotage the visit of the Chinese President and now when the Prime Minister is on a visit to China, it has been placed in the container again, but nothing has come of it. Only now something will happen, the date of election will not be obtained by threats and abuse.
