Pune: The child is going to the hospital with the parents crushed by the tractor NewsPipa



A six-month-old baby girl, rushed to hospital as her parents were unwell, died after the bike they were riding was hit by a tractor on the Pune-Nashik road on Thursday afternoon. The child fell under the wheels of the tractor after being hit.

The accident took place around 3 pm on the road connecting Khed town with Wada village in Khed taluk of Pune district, about 50 km from Pune city. Parents Kailas Adhal (30) and his wife Anita, were taking their baby daughter Pilu from their home in Rakshewadi area to a hospital in Khed.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that on Khed-Wada road, the bicycle was hit by a tractor from one side and the parents and the child fell down due to the impact. The child came under the wheels of the tractor,” said Satish Gurav, in-charge inspector of Khed police station.

The seriously injured girl was taken to the hospital where she was declared brought dead. Officials said Vishal Bhambure, a resident of Khed, was driving the tractor with a water tanker trolley.

Sub-inspector Bharat Bhosle, who is investigating the incident, said, “We have registered a case of accidental death and started investigation into the sequence of events.”
