Hyderabad: A 42-year-old man was detained under the Preventive Detention Act and booked into the Central Jail in Cherlapalli by the Rachakonda police on Friday for producing and selling a fake educational certificate.

The accused has been identified as Mohammad Kalimuddin (42), a resident of Kuba Colony, Bandlaguda, Chandrayangutta, Hyderabad.

According to a press release, the accused was arrested by the Pahari Sharif police on September 1 and properties like fake educational certificates of various sectors (school/college/university) rubber stamps, laptops, printers etc. were seized.

The accused had been committing the crime since 2002 and has been booked in six criminal cases for forgery, and forgery of educational certificates within Hyderabad city limits.

He was arrested by the police several times, and remanded in judicial custody. However, despite several trials and bails, he is back to his old ways.
