LAHORE:- Global smartphone sales have dropped significantly due to economic crisis, inflation and uncertainty. According to smartphone sales monitoring firm Canalys’ April to June 2022 device sales report, global smartphone sales have declined significantly due to the economic crisis, inflation and uncertainty. Smartphone sales monitoring firm Canalys has released a report on device sales between April and June 2022. In the second quarter of 2022, smartphone sales recorded a 9 percent decline compared to the same period last year. Between April and June 2022, 28.74 million smartphones were sold worldwide. According to the report, rising inflation, political situation and declining consumer confidence have had a negative impact on smartphone sales. According to the report, this decline in smartphone sales is likely to continue till the end of this year. In terms of phone sales in the second quarter of 2022, Samsung was the top company while Apple was second, Xiaomi third, Oppo fourth and Vivo fifth. Meanwhile, demand for midrange smartphones has fallen the most as consumers now prefer more affordable phones. At the start of 2020, demand for smartphones dropped significantly during the coronavirus pandemic, but the situation improved slightly in 2021.
