A fight broke out between AAP MLA Raman Arora and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Naresh Dogra following a dispute between two shopkeepers in which the DCP was beaten up by the MLA’s supporters, who allegedly used foul language against him.
After this settlement, Dogra was transferred to Punjab Armed Police (PAP), Jalandhar.
“Viral videos have exposed AAP MLA Raman Arora as having no etiquette on how to talk to officials. While addressing the public issue, Arora made it a personal issue and used vulgar and foul language with the police officer.
Later, he got into a physical fight with a police officer on the premises of a local paper… Even before the elections, Raman Arora used derogatory language against women as well,” senior BJP leader and former minister Manoranjan Kalia said in a press release.
He said that soon after the incident on the night of September 21-22, Rajan Angural, brother of Jalandhar West AAP MLA Sheetal Angural, came in support of MLA Arora and misbehaved with Dr. Harvin Kaur, who was on emergency duty. Jalandhar Civil Hospital, in an attempt to influence Dr. Kaur to register a medico-legal report as per their wish and desire.
When Dr. Kaur demands that he will act according to the rules, the goons accompanied by Rajan Angural break the glass of the door and damage government property. A complaint has been lodged with the police by the civil hospital authorities, Kalia said, adding that a month ago, Sheetal Angural misbehaved with district administrative officers and when the PCS officers threatened to go on strike, Angural apologized.
