panajiA Goa court on Friday extended the judicial custody of two accused arrested in connection with the death of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sonali Phogat by 14 days. Phogat was brought dead to a hospital in Anjuna on August 23.

Police claimed that some ‘objectionable substance’ was mixed in the water for them to drink. The Mapusa Judicial Magistrate-First Class extended the judicial custody of accused Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh by 14 days, a police official said. Both the accused in Sonali’s murder are lodged in Kolwal Central Jail.
