Shehbaz felt strong concern for Pakistan flood survivors at UNGA NewsPipa

24NewsHD TV channel reported that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed strong concern for the flood-affected people of Pakistan.

Addressing the high-level general debate of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, he said his heart goes out to the people affected by the disaster.

He highlighted the devastation caused by floods in Pakistan. Earlier, the Prime Minister appealed to extend a helping hand to the disaster victims.

Recent floods have killed hundreds and displaced thousands of families and destroyed infrastructure in Balochistan, Sindh and KP.

The Prime Minister met the heads of state on the sidelines of the UN meeting. He met with Bill Gates, co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over an online meeting of concerned authorities to review the progress of various flood relief and rehabilitation programs in the flood affected areas.
