Rawalpindi: A case has been filed against Awami Muslim League chief and former Union Home Minister Sheikh Rashed Ahmed for receiving threats of dire consequences over phone.
A case has been registered against the unknown caller at Waris Khan police station in Rawalpindi. In the application submitted to the police station, Sheikh Rashid said that he has been getting threats of murder and abduction on his personal phone for several days. Lal Haveli’s number was received. The former Union Home Minister also gave the police the numbers through which he received threatening calls. On the request of the Awami Muslim League chief, the police filed a case under section 506 and 25D of the Telegraph Act.
